Two Trends of China's Medical And Health Industry in 2016
Trend one: Chinese enterprises in order to meet the needs of domestic chronic disease and aging, starting acquiring and investing overseas enterprises.
Over the past few years, China has rapid growth in demand for high-end health care products and services, advanced medical equipment for the treatment of chronic diseases, and the care of elderly patients.According to the World Health Organization statistics, China has 300 million people died of chronic non communicable diseases every year.Such as lung cancer, stroke, heart disease and diabetes, more than 60 years of age and older people have nearly 80% died of chronic diseases.
At the same time, China is currently experiencing rapid aging of the population, by 2040, the aging population will reach 28% of the country's total population. There is no doubt that China is already the world's second largest medical equipment market, by 2020, the national health care spending is expected to reach 6.5-7% of GPD.
In order to meet the growing domestic demand, Chinese companies strengthen the overseas investment in Israel, the United States and Australia and other countries of the medical and health fields, to obtain the overseas enterprises of high technology, professional knowledge and high-end brand value so as to cater to the demand of the Chinese market.
Trend two: China's gradually relaxing foreign investment restrictions, encouraging foreign invest in hospitals and medical facilities business.
The Chinese government is continuing to encourage private investment in the field of medical facilities to reduce the burden on public hospitals. At the same time, the relaxation of foreign investment restrictions will be conducive to the promotion of the field of international standards and provide high quality nursing services, responding to China's rapid access to the trend of aging society. Chinese government hopes that participating in the field of medical facilities as a key lever to effectively improve the current situation.
At present, there is a certain gap in developed countries in Europe and the United States about China's Hospital and the elderly care service level, and in the past, foreign investment in this field has been limited. It is a wise move that government gradually relaxed restrictions on foreign investment, not only benefiting the common people, but also promoting Chinese enterprises to learn foreign advanced technology and experience better.
